This character is named Elsa, and she is going to be released in three different color formats. This particular figure features blonde hair and pale skin and is the first version to hit stores.

Inori Week continues here with a look at this pillowcase by the circle A.C.G.. That’s the same circle that produced the Catherine dakimakura cover, but while that one was drawn by as109, this one is drawn by an artist named sola (not to be confused with the manga and anime series of the same name). Looking at the circle’s products, it looks like sola has drawn the majority of them and I would guess he or she is its main artist. I came across this dakimakura cover while shopping at Doujin-dou and though I was unfamiliar with the artist’s work, I decided this was the Inori pillowcase for me.

Happy Black Friday to everyone. Being the day after Thanksgiving, the intention for today was to do a figure review of a character from an absolute turkey of a show (free drumstick to anyone who can guess which one I’m talking about), but that plan has been pushed aside by the usual holiday business. We’ll look at her in a few days but in the meantime, here’s some pictures of Lilith’s dakimakura cover of Yukikaze Mizuki, one of the newest characters in the long-running Taimanin series. Not too long ago, Alphamax was a niche manufacturer in the figure hobby, a purveyor of really expensive polystone statues of characters nobody had ever heard of and that nobody ever bought. But in the last few years, anime figure collecting has really taken off and it is only sensible of Alphamax to want a bigger piece of that action – thus, they’ve repositioned themselves in the market as a mainstream manufacturer of PVC figures, particularly of popular characters wearing swimsuits. Now, they’re staking out another niche – namely, hentai figures – and so having looked at a Tony Taka dakimakura cover last week, we’ll look at Alphamax’s figure of Tony Taka’s Ai Saeki today.

Today’s dakimakura cover features the artwork of Tony Taka, an illustrator who needs no introduction. A number of pillowcases have been produced that feature his work; in fact, the very first dakimakura cover review posted here was one of his, from Comiket 75. His doujin work often focuses on well-known characters – he’s published work based on Clannad, Stellvia, and Working!!, among other series – but this one includes a couple of girls who, as far as I know, are original characters. Also, I don’t know if either girl has a name, as the doujinshi they come from – titled Puella – features only a few pages of text. Incidentally, the product description of Puella states that its title simply comes from the Latin word for “girl”; it has no relation at all to the well-known anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

A recent failed attempt at building a set and an ill-timed touch of the flu means that we’ll be looking at another pillowcase instead of a figure. This one is from the same circle and features a similar theme as Satsuki, but those who prefer anime characters to look a little more mature will probably appreciate this one more than the other.
