We took a look at The Literary Type a couple of weeks back, but that wasn’t the only figure that Native released last month; they also shipped this figure, on the same day no less. This character is named Dame Valerie and is based on artwork done by Shinsuke Inue; it depicts a young female knight caught in a rather compromising position.
Dame Valerie is manufactured by Native; she’s sculpted in a peculiar 1/5.5 scale and though she’s relatively large in terms of body size, she doesn’t take up a lot of shelf space due to her compact pose. She comes with a few plastic rocks, presumably to add some context to the setting, but she surprisingly has very few display options for herself.
I don’t think that Valerie has many different ways that you can display her, either; the main view is this frontal perspective, where her icy glare and spread legs capture the observer’s attention. The theme is evidently that Valerie has just been bested and left subject to the whims of some offscreen adversary, and her discomfited expression serves to emphasize her quandary. One could be excused for thinking that perhaps she should look angrier, though.
Like many of Native’s figures, Valerie’s overall design is meant to be provocative and exciting and as such, she’s not wearing much clothes, but what she is wearing is nicely detailed. In particular, her armor – what’s left of it, anyway – appears relatively realistic and functional. Her top shows a sort of quilted pattern, though admittedly it’s a bit difficult to notice thanks to her impressive breasts essentially being front and center.
What is less detailed than might be desired is her vagina; Native is known for making high-quality hentai figures and while I certainly wouldn’t cast aspersions against Valerie, it’s a bit lamentable that this aspect looks a bit strange. I’m probably insane but I can’t help but think the cleft of her genitals looks sort of like a stylized, elongated Tesla logo.
Valerie’s pose is meant to emphasize her vulnerability, and her incapacitation is made more evident by some of the props that come with her. Namely, there’s this sword – embedded in a rock, which seems like a difficult thing to stab a sword through – which she’s meant to be chained to. The chain is plastic and no actual shackles, manacles, or restraints are provided; presumably, the owner of this figure is meant to simply wrap the chain around the sword and her wrists in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
She also comes with this dagger which can be used to partially conceal her crotch. No such modesty is afforded for her breasts which will always be open for admiration unless the owner improvises something on their own. The dagger’s oval base means that it can’t be placed with the blade resting against her vagina in case anyone desired a more edgy appearance.
The figure comes with a small plastic rock wall which serves as a backdrop, but she doesn’t actually have a base to sit on. I’m fine with that as it reduces her shelf footprint.
This is a fairly straightforward figure that, despite not being particularly complex, does a superb job of conveying its theme of a defeated knight about to suffer at the hands of her subjugators. There aren’t all that many figures that look like this and so I’m glad that Native created this one; I’m pretty happy with the way Valerie turned out. I never did buy any of the little goblin figures that several manufacturers sold a while back but I wish I had; I think they would add a lot of atmosphere to this figure, and maybe I’ll need to look around Mandarake to see if they’re still available for purchase.
I can’t help but wonder if all these hentai figure reviews in November after such a long hiatus was planned in any case, she’s a great figure! I recall considering her for preorder, but with Kaneda’s bike being re-released it just wasn’t going to be possible.
I agree regarding the strangeness with her genitalia, as well as her facial expression not looking nearly scared or angry enough. That being said, I’ll keep my eyes open on the second hand market.
Haha, it certainly appears that way but I hadn’t quite thought about that. I do have a couple more hentai figures to finish reviewing and then I might do some more figures from gacha games. Or I might do more hentai figures, I dunno. I do have this figure of Duke of York that I kinda want to write up because her facial expression is hilarious.
LMAO at the Tesla logo!
This reminds me of a joke.
If you want an expensive sparkling pussy, go for Skytube.
If you want a stretchy pussy, go for Okayama.
If you want an average pussy with average price, go for Daiki.
If you want a tight pussy, go for Q six.
If you want rare subtle pussy, go for Native.
If you want a gigantic pussy, go for Binding.
Haha, that actually seems really accurate. Of that list, I think the only manufacturer I don’t own a figure from is Okayama but everything else looks spot-on.
Yeah, I know a lot about pussies.
Except real ones.

A Tesla logo, Jesus Christ! I’ll never be able to look at a Tesla car with a straight face again, thank you very much indeed XD
In my eyes, the most captivating element is the chain mail around her collar. This really looks super realistic. Your photos, and even the official pictures tbh, left me wondering if it might be made of something other than PVC. Although I’m sure you would have mentioned if it was.
You’re welcome! I didn’t notice whether her neck armor is made of a non-PVC material but I don’t think it is; the figure appears to be uniformly made of plastic.
Hi! Which is the best action figure maker and can I contact them?
Hi! Honestly I’m not sure … I’d guess that might be Max Factory, since their Figma action figures seem to be pretty popular.
Thank you!
do you have any general advice for a new collector, like whhow to avoid bootlegs and where to buy? I used to go to a nearby toy store, but they’ve apparently stopped caring and just sell alibaba fakes now
Takes experience. Even I had some problems right at the start.
Make sure the box always have the manufacturer logo. But even those can be faked
Sorry about the very late response; I’m not too sure how to avoid bootlegs from physical retail stores and I guess it’s a major problem. There’s an anime store I was curious about in the DC area but the Yelp reviews said they sell a ton of fakes. I buy almost all of my figures online from Hobby Search, Amiami, and Native’s shop and shopping at a respected online retailer is one way to ensure you’re getting legit stuff. For secondhand figures I usually look at Mandarake first; they have a lot of preowned merchandise but I don’t recall that they’ve ever sold bootlegs.
Welcome to the hobby! If you have any more questions, I’d be happy to try to help.
thanks! that’s very helpful 🙂
Inverted nipples! Nasty!
