We looked at a FREEing bunnygirl last time, and we’ll continue the trend today by reviewing Lucifer. Somehow this figure is the first from the Seven Mortal Sins that I have reviewed, which is a bit shameful, as I own quite a few figures from the series, but as today is Christmas and thus commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ, taking a look at Lucifer seems only apropos.
The Seven Mortal Sins – or Sin: The Seven Deadly Sins, or Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai, which is not at all to be confused with the Seven Deadly Sins, or Nanatsu no Taizai, was a media series launched by Hobby Japan, way back around 2012, if I remember right. Like many of their properties – Queen’s Blade and Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls, amongst others – the principal rationale for their creation seemed to be to sell figures. Like its predecessors, the Seven Mortal Sins received an anime adaptation, but the show was a notably quirky affair, combining a globe-trotting set of protagonists with copious fanservice, freestyle rap battles, and a hapless lead heroine who has her heart torn out of her chest in the first episode. It’s not an especially good anime, but it does seem like the showrunners tried to put something together that was more than just an extended commercial to market merchandise.
Lucifer is manufactured by FREEing in 1/4 scale and stands approximately 32 centimeters in height. She’s not a difficult figure to set up, needing just some inserts into her high heels to keep her upright. The base of this figure is a small black disc, which is nice; she doesn’t take up as much room on the shelf as one might expect given her size.
Most of FREEing’s bunnygirls aren’t all that different from each other, and this one mostly follows the expected formula: a glossy, form-fitting leotard worn over fishnet pantyhose, high heel pumps, and a sexy body sculpt with relatively little detail on the exposed matte-finished skin.
However, while many of the bunnygirls have simple standing or kneeling poses, Lucifer is perching in a provocative squat, variously called an M-pose or a kimchi squat, depending on where you are from.
Her stance obviously directs attention to her groin, where the tightness of her leotard is conspicuously distinct.
Another interesting aspect of this figure is that an additional set of cups for her suit are provided, allowing her breasts to be revealed. Most of the bunnygirls don’t provide for castoff options – I can only think of a few, as this level of explicitness seems to be reserved more for the BINDing bunnygirls sold by Native. Given the racy nature of the series, this feature seems only appropriate.
Lucifer’s expression conveys confidence, arrogance, and contempt for the subject of her gaze. It isn’t always the case that FREEing does a superb job with designing the face of their bunnygirl figures, but they’ve done an excellent job of capturing Lucifer’s personality here.
Other highlights include her ponytail and horns.
And, of course, her ass, which is rendered very well.
The FREEing bunnygirls tend to all look a bit similar but I really like Lucifer. Her haughtiness and sexiness perfectly encapsulate what the character is about, even if she likely would never be caught dead in this sort of outfit. Her suggestive pose further enhances her eroticism while also providing the practical benefit of not taking up a great deal of room. Overall, this is one of the best bunnygirls in my figure collection.
Oh that intro again. The Mormons (or atleast the LDS ones) believe that Jesus and Lucifer are brothers, so you might be on to something here, perhaps twins? Oh my lol.
Weird that mine is the first comment, everyone else must be eating Christmas or something.
Not much I can say.
Offtopic. I find it interesting that demons from East Asia (especially Oni-s from Japan) usually have ram horns, while western ones (judeo-christian, greko-roman, norse, celtic etc) usually have cow horns.
Offtopic 2. I have preordered this one in my link, it’s somewhat similar to what you have here. I like the face on mine very much… it’s that kind of cultured, yet arrogant look a noble woman would have…like the whole “Ara ara” Kyoto thing.
No images on my search engines? Hope you can see this link…

It’s interesting to see the difference in aesthetics in European and East Asian fantasy. I have to admit I’m not a huge fan of the sort of oni horns you see in Japanese artwork; it’s why I don’t really like a lot of the Japanese ships in Azur Lane, which I spend way too much time playing.
Yeah, I like that figure a lot, though I haven’t preordered it and after looking at it again, I’m thinking maybe I should. I have this informal policy of not buying bunnygirls unless they’re from FREEing but I’m really liking that one more and more.
Well, might as well as tell you…just like other posters here, I decided to get this figure. I found it on sales. I wanted a figure with the ram/goat horns I was talking about so I decided to go with her. If you hadn’t have made this article, I probably would have passed her. Aaaand I also got 2 more bunnygirls to go with her, also on sales. That’s so that I’ll have 4 bunnygirls. I had one from last year…also purchased on sales.
Is it luck or Lucifer’s curses? I’ll end this joke here, it’s getting creepy.
“Would thou like to live deliciously?â€
What a lovely figure. I had appreciated her upon announcement, but after seeing your review… well, I shudder to think about secondhand market prices. Also, I imagine that Freeing must be starting to sweat, what with the market they once cornered being infiltrated by Binding.
The ever growing saturation of “perverted†figures in the market being met by an equal demand can only leave me guessing that we may yet see more risqué figures being presented by Freeing in the future.
On that note, I’m a little disappointed that Reika didn’t give us similar display options.
I’m in no way an expert on the relations between figure companies, but as far as I know, Freeing and Binding are, around several corners, in fact indeed related. The choice in the name “Binding” , as opposed to “Freeing”, was definitely not a coincidence.
I think figure companies, seeing that 18+ figures are selling really well, are trying to establish new marques under their traditional umbrella. Native is said to be the 18+ branch of Goodsmile, as is Skytube to Alphamax. Griffon tried to do the same with a brand that I forget the name of, before they went belly up.
All these high-quality manufacturers of ero figures have already led to the silent demise of GigaPulse, “the” long-time 18+ manufacturer. They never managed to adapt their overall quality to that of their competitors. Unlike Griffon however, they obviously didn’t have the funds to maintain a long struggle for survival…
Yeah, I always just assumed that they’re the same company. I have no actual evidence of that, but I guess I could just look at the boxes and see if the company addresses match.
I’m still a little sad regarding Griffon’s demise, being that I was really looking forward to the 1/4 scale Escalayer figure and I was curious to see what their purported 1/2.5 (or whatever it was, it was something bonkers like that) Aegis figure was going to look like. I guess we’ll never know now.
AFAIK Native is supposed to be a branch of Yamato.
Rocketboy, Progress etc, are different companies releasing their products under native.
Freeing and Dragontoy are supposed to be subs of Daiki, but now Freeing is directly under Good Smile.
Lechery is under Kaitendoh.
If I am not mistaken, Okayama Figure Engineering is under Orca Toys.
And Skytube is under Alphamax. Common knowledge.
Any of these I got wrong feel free to correct.
It’s weird how not many people seem to actually buy these bunnygirls but then they get some whacko prices in the aftermarket. I guess it’s a little more apparent with some of the BINDing figures; I really wish I had bought the Homare-designed one. I’m not sure why I didn’t since I’ve been a fan of his illustrations for a very long time.
I have to do a preorder post soon and I think it’s going to be pretty much all pornographic Native and SkyTube figures.
Nice photos! I remember the anime – quirky but amusing. The sculpt captures the character well. The bunny ears actually look a bit sillier than usual on a character with big horns, though…
It was a really strange anime. I was expecting something really low-rent like Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls but they were a bit more ambitious than that. I’m not sure they really succeeded but I respect them for trying.
Oh man. I came back to recheck your blog and I’m already regretting it. You certainly know how get one’s wallet out and open… I’m loving this figure already. It’s beautiful despite it’s sexy nature.
I’m glad to have been of help!
I enjoyed your wonderful review and decided to buy this bunny.
I would like a lot of good reviews.
Thanks! Congratulations on getting this figure, it’s a great one.
Dear Mr TA, do you plan on making a top 10/top5 list of 2019 figures? do let me know! thank you! I always appreciate your work. Keep it up!
Yeah, I actually do plan to do a five favorite figures for 2019; normally I do a standalone post but I think I’ll roll it into my site birthday post in February (on the 23rd, to be exact). I don’t actually know which my five favorite figures from last year might be; I think I know two or three but as sad as it sounds, I need to open up my Hobby Search shipping boxes and take a look at some of the figures I bought before I decide.
I think it is not accurate to say these intellectual properties were created for selling figures.
Queen’s Blade started off as a book series, similar to old style tabletop rpgs.
Hyakka Ryouran is a light novel. That itself explains a lot. Many of such Harem LNs exist, but few have the popularity of Hyakka and DxD.
Admittedly, I dont know much of the origin of Seven Deadly Sins and Bikini Warriors.
I’m aware of the Lost Worlds book series, but I do not think that Hobby Japan lavished the Queen’s Blade series with illustrations from numerous well-known artists because they were enthusiasts of Flying Buffalo’s game system. Similarly, I tend to think most people involved with producing a light novel do so in the hopes of merchandising their product, particularly when Hobby Japan is the company behind the franchise.
I missed this one. I think it’s already out of stock. Is there any store where it is available?
If you’re still looking it may be available at Amazon JP, but I don’t know whether they would ship it overseas, and there are a few product entries there that have prices so low I have to imagine they are counterfeits.
Your pictures are awesome! Can you review Erika Kuramoto with Bunny suit?
Thanks! Yeah, she’s on the short list for a review. Hopefully that should be done by around the end of the week.
