I bought some new video games over the last couple of weeks. I’ve already talked a little bit about Magna Carta 2; to add a happy ending to my earlier post, I did eventually get the artbook that I was supposed to receive by preordering the game. Complaining to Gamestop’s customer service department pays off, it seems. I also bought Halo ODST, Prototype, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 from Toys R Us when they were running their buy two, get one free sale. I wasn’t actually planning on getting the Marvel game since they left Psylocke off of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, but they recently announced that she’d be downloadable later on. For a price, of course. That sucks but oh well. Best Buy is also currently running a buy two, get one free deal so I got Forza 3, Tekken 6, and some WWE game today. I’ll be honest, I don’t much like wrestling. I used to love watching WWF matches when I was a kid, and I still have the Ultimate Warrior’s autograph in a magazine someplace, but I haven’t watched any of it in twenty years. I pretty much only bought the game to make Mai Shiranui in Create-A-Wrestler mode. I don’t intend to play as any of the real-life wrestlers.
im currently playing magna carta 2…i hate the gay overheat…anyways i recommend a game called Nier…it’s very good if u like rpg and bullet hell.i just baught american mcgee’s alice madness returns…and im currently in chapter 2….i recommend it if u havent played it..it’s well worth the buy..
Yeah, the overheat system was not well thought out, I think, nor the party member-switching thing. Or the skill system, I guess. But I’d still like to complete Magna Carta 2 one of these days; I stopped playing it about a year ago for no real reason and I probably should get back to it.
Ah, I’ve heard good things about Nier. Especially about the story and the music; I place a high priority on both of these things in games. I’ve seen it fairly cheaply so maybe I’ll pick it up if I come across it again.
infinite undiscovery is pretty good if u set aside the crappy graphics.catherine is an amazingly fun game.child of eden is fricken awesome even with it only having 5 stages…but i guess u can rent it and play it..tenchu Z is alright but is kinda repetitive.
I might pick up Catherine when it becomes cheap since I love Persona 3 and 4. I still have to play through a bunch of older games too, like Lost Odyssey. I’m really hoping the next generation of consoles doesn’t drop any time soon.
yeah….that new PSVita looks amazing….i am almost thru paying off mine so i get it on the release date^^
Ah, nice XD I’m still needing to get a PSP, just so I can play this Queen’s Gate game. And Pangya Fantasy Golf, which I really want to play.
hey u should get a limitgunz figure..it’s fairly priced and very big and superbly detailed..i baught mine on amazon for 35 bucks..the figure stands about 8″tall….
I remember that figure, it was pretty cool. The guy who sculpted it has also done a few other figures that I like.
hey can u add me on xbox live..my gamer profile is TwistyPrawn79 ,maybe we can play some halo reach together .^^
Unfortunately I do not have an Xbox Live Gold membership. Or Halo Reach, actually; I probably should pick that game up one of these days. And I guess I should probably try to beat ODST sometime, too.
i haven’t finished my odst either.but yeah wenever u get live u can add me..have u tried dj hero?it’s fun..i think gamestop is having a sale on it…u get the turntable and the game for 29.99
Nah, I haven’t tried it; I’ve never really been into rhythm games much. I watched a friend play Guitar Hero or Rock Band (I forget which it was) once and it looked fun, but the guitar controller just reminds me of the guitar I bought ten years ago and never learned how to play. I keep thinking I should give it another shot but I can never really motivate myself to try.
but dj hero is a different thing…it’s actually more fun than guitar hero because every song or mix that you play is different because there are parts where you can freestyle within the song or mix and it has a really good variety of songs..i think about 95+ songs.but if music aint ur thing then may i recommend turok….the story is awesome, graphics is decent..and there’s dinosaurs…who doesn’t like that
I will have to take your word for it; rhythm games aren’t really my thing. Dinosaurs are indeed cool, however. I’m kinda surprised they aren’t used more often in shooters; I think I’d have more fun shooting at dinosaurs than terrorists or Russian soldiers in those realistic military-themed shooters that every game company makes these days.
yeah true..that’s why i play halo and crysis because it’s not just another ww2 shooter or a modern warfare shooter…i like to have weapons that aren’t real, weapons that look cool and can cause major damage..and um..i know this is just an idea from me but taking it in mind is your choice,i think you should have a gundam review also..im an avid gundam model kit collector and i dont see many gundams being reviewed…i would do it myself but my camera sucks and im not skilled in photography plus im not really good at writing long reviews..
have you ever played the illusion soft games like real kanojo or sexy beach zero..i have a collection of h-games from illusion soft.they are very rare in the states because of the censor law.
Nah, I haven’t ever played those games, which is sorta curious, since I got the feeling I’d enjoy them. I haven’t actually played a ton of eroge, and the ones I’ve played are all visual novels.
have u ever went to incise-soul.net ,the artist,M-RS, does a wonderful job rendering original characters and videogame characters too…i wish i had the software to do that kind of 3d rendering..i only have photoshop cs5.
Yeah, his artwork is great. Sometimes 3D graphics programs and anime style don’t work well but his stuff is awesome.
